IJCSR is committed to publishing accurate and reliable research. This policy outlines the procedures for addressing errors and misconduct in published articles.

Corrections:

  • For minor errors (e.g., typos, formatting mistakes), a corrigendum will be published online, clearly linked to the original article. The corrigendum will detail the correction and the date it was made.

Retractions:

  • Retraction is reserved for severe issues, including:
    • Plagiarism
    • Data fabrication or falsification
    • Unreported ethical violations in research conduct
    • Duplicate publication without proper citation
  • The retracted article will remain online, marked as retracted, with a clear explanation provided in a separate retraction notice. The retraction notice will include the title, authors, and reason for retraction.

Who Can Initiate:

  • Corrections can be initiated by the author(s) or Editor-in-Chief upon discovery of an error.
  • Retractions can be initiated by the author(s), Editor-in-Chief, or reviewers upon discovery of misconduct.

Process:

  • All concerns regarding errors or misconduct should be submitted to the Editor-in-Chief in writing.
  • The Editor-in-Chief will consult with relevant parties (authors, reviewers) to determine the appropriate course of action (correction or retraction).
  • The final decision on corrections and retractions rests with the Editor-in-Chief.

If there are errors that significantly affect the conclusions or there is evidence of misconduct, this may require retraction or an expression of concern. IJCSR follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) retraction guidelines for such cases.
